Greens were definitely the star of this week’s CSA share—I ended up with bunches of kale, Swiss chard, and collards, along with the usual goodies. Whenever I get a pile of these tougher greens, I like to keep it simple: rinse, pat them dry, and toss them straight into the freezer in a reusable freezer bag. Once they’re frozen, they crumble apart super easily, which makes them perfect for smoothies. No chopping, no fuss—and they help chill the drink too. Total win!

Ingredients:
July 17, 2025
1 cup frozen kale
1 cup frozen swiss chard
2 cups fresh or frozen fruit, I like mango
1 banana
1/2 cup coconut yogurt, I use Cocojune
1/2 cup coconut milk, I use Califia Farms
1 tsp. vanilla, I use Nielsen-Massey
2 tsp. honey, I use Nate’s Organic
2 cups ice
1-2 cups water, enough to make blending easy
Add all ingredients to blender, blend until smooth. May adjust water and honey for desired texture and sweetness.
